Abstract

The dual notions of endomorphism small-essential submodules (ESE) and annihilator large-superfluous submodules (ALS) are suggested and justified. Using these notions, we present a general characterization of generalized Hopfian and weakly co-Hopfian couples of modules and show that they are dual to each other under Morita duality.
