Abstract

This paper introduce two distinct classes of estimators to calculate the ratio between two population means by utilizing the knowledge of two-phase sampling with in the stratified population, particularly addressing the situation of non-response in variables under the study. The expressions related to the description of bias and mean square error (MSE) of the given classes of two-phase method of sampling estimators for ratio between two population means (R) have been derived. Members of the suggested classes have been identified. An empirical analysis using a data set (census-2011) has been conducted to validate the effectiveness of the suggested estimators alongside the pertinent estimator. For the fixed cost, the optimized sample size of 1st-phase, 2nd-phase and sub-sampling fraction i.e. (n’i), (ni) and (1/gi)  respectively for ith stratum have been obtained.
