Abstract

This work investigates optimal control problems governed by an elliptic system featuring a Helmholtz operator, Robin boundary conditions, and time delays. The aim is to decrease the cost function while complying with the state equation and constraints.  We investigate whether there are solutions and whether they are exclusive to the equation of state, and then verify the existence of optimal controls. Furthermore, we derive necessary optimality conditions using adjoint techniques.
