Abstract

This article, two-level encryptions algorithms combining two chaotic maps (logistic and tent maps) is proposed for images encryptions. These maps are used to encrypt an image to verify if the safe cipher’s properties of diffusion and confusion are met. The first map generates a key to execute the permutation process, while the second generates a key for the substitution process. Experimental results explain that the proposed algorithms offer high levels of security and are resistant to statistical and differential attacks.
