Abstract

A new wave of cyber security and data privacy threats has coincided with FinTech’s revolutionary impact on finance, which is characterised by increased accessibility and efficiency. As a result, strong risk management that makes use of cooperative ways is required. In order to promote information sharing and the creation of efficient risk mitigation techniques, the proposed “Frontiers in FinTech Risk Management” platform seeks to enable this collaboration. “Frontiers” equips stakeholders to tackle these changing issues with emerging technologies like big data and AI in domains like peer-to-peer lending and crypto-assets, including the best way to integrate AI for FinTech risk management, by providing resources like research, case studies, webinars, forums, and training. For FinTech firms, this translates to prioritizing talent acquisition with expertise in both FinTech and risk management, alongside building strategic partnerships to ensure regulatory compliance. This initiative has strong alignment with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). “Frontiers” promotes economic growth and decent employment opportunities in the changing financial sector by fostering FinTech innovation and financial inclusion (SDG 8). The sustainable growth and beneficial economic contributions of FinTech are largely dependent on effective risk management. Additionally, the platform encourages financial technology innovation (SDG 9), supporting resilient infrastructure by means of safe and sound financial systems. By guaranteeing the ethical and sustainable provision of FinTech services to marginalised communities, “Frontiers” also contributes to SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), optimising their potential to lessen financial inequality. Lastly, the platform enhances institutions and fosters confidence in the financial system by prioritising regulatory compliance and transparency (SDG 16). Effective risk management promotes justice and peace by preventing crime and ensuring financial stability. In summary, by addressing the risks inherent in FinTech innovation and promoting responsible development, “Frontiers” can make a substantial contribution to these SDGs, fostering a more inclusive and sustainable financial future.
