Abstract

An innovative algorithm to solve TP using modular arithmetic which minimizes cost of transportation is described. To exhibit the potential use of this algorithm, examples are illustrated which shows that suggested algorithm is simpler and computationally more efficient than some existing methods frequently used in the literature. MATLAB coding of suggested algorithm is also provided.
