Abstract

Mobile agent is a small program that can be moved from one platform to another and run a given task. In distributed computing environment the demand of mobile agents is exponentially increasing due to automaticity. But security of mobile agents is remains a critical challenge in malicious networks. In this paper proposed a Secure Key Authentication Scheme based on the discrete logarithm problem in group ring structure to enhance the authentication of mobile agents. The proposed method is based on the hardness of discrete logarithm problem and algebraic structure of group rings which provides security model against impersonation replay and man in the middle attacks. With the synchronization of efficient cryptographic operations proposed method ensures secure key generation, authentication and verification while maintaining computational feasibility. After the analysis of proposed method performance with existing similar authentication methods in terms of computational cost, security strength and communication overhead costs. Analysis of the outcomes of proposed method shows that the authentication time is less and security is more in proposed Authentication Scheme Based on discrete logarithm problem in Group Ring which makes it suitable solution in mobile agent based systems in distributed and cloud environments. A secure key validation is based on discrete logarithm problem with a group ring. In method, mobile agents can be securely authenticated by providing data of a secret without revealing it, which is appropriate for distributed and dynamic situations, such as multi agent systems.
