Abstract

The present study examines the emerging landscape of Economic Policy Research (EPR) in India using a comprehensive bibliometric and textmining framework applied to 2,911 journal articles published between 2010 and 2024. It integrates Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, LDAShiny, and BERTopic to map publication trends, collaboration networks, and thematic evolution. The findings highlight a steady annual growth rate of 14.26%, alongside a thematic shift from traditional concerns, such as poverty and macroeconomic stabilization, toward sustainability, renewable energy, financial inclusion, and international trade. Topic modeling identifies dominant clusters around monetary policy, environmental sustainability, and economic growth, while emerging research themes are climate adaptation and digital finance. The study contributes methodologically by combining probabilistic and transformer-based topic modeling approaches, offering a nuanced understanding of research dynamics. These insights provide valuable implications for policymakers, researchers, and institutions in aligning future economic strategies with evolving global and national priorities.
