      <abstract>
        <p>Indoor positioning is the process of getting the position of an object or person inside the indoor environment. There are cases in which the building architecture is complex and there is the possibility of a person or object getting lost. In such cases, Indoor positioning is helpful to locate a person or object. To locate an object in an indoor environment, various types of sensors are used. These sensors use different types of data to locate the object or person. This review paper aims to provide the various sensors and different parameters to compare sensors that are used in indoor positioning. There are various practical applications for Indoor positions. Navigation in shopping malls or museums, inventory management, robots’ movement, and asset tracking are various practical examples of Indoor positioning.</p>
