      <abstract>
        <p>VLC is a short-range wireless data transmission technology with high transfer rates and security. However, it faces challenges such as restricted signal transmission due to its line-of-sight principle. Strategies include higher optical methods and using VLC and radio frequency to improve coverage. Fluctuations in light conditions affect performance, and integrating VLC with other infrastructure is difficult. The study recommends using flexible LED technology for easy integration. Security is another issue, with line-of-sight security and strict encryption and authentication. Regulatory and standardization issues also hinder VLC implementation. Researchers, engineers, and policymakers should develop techniques to overcome technical, integration, and regulatory obstacles in VLC system extension.</p>
