The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of a pair soft left (resp. right, lateral) ideal of a ternary semigroup. Relationships between a pair soft left (resp. right, lateral) ideal, a soft left (resp. right, lateral) ideal, and a regular (quasi-regular) semigroup are described.
