      <abstract>
        <p>An elliptic curve cryptography (ECC)-based session-critical distributed authentication method is implemented in this study to enhance data security in wireless sensor Internet of Things (IoT) devices. ECC is chosen for its efficient key generation and compact key sizes, which are well-suited for resource-constrained IoT environments. The proposed approach aims to establish secure and reliable communication channels, ensuring robust authentication and protection against potential security threats. By leveraging ECC’s cryptographic strengths, this work contributes to advancing the security infrastructure of IoT networks, addressing critical concerns related to data integrity and confidentiality. This study shows that the proposed WSN is capable of enhancing data transmission efficiency and reliability by exhibiting superior PDR and throughput performance. </p>
