      <abstract>
        <p>This research examines the progression of Generative AI in scholarly work through a bibliometric analysis of 1,329 articles from the past two decades, indexed in the OpenAlex database. The results demonstrate a swift annual growth rate of 36.01%. The fields of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence emerged as the primary research areas, establishing the intellectual backbone of the discipline. The United States was recognized as the foremost contributor to research, with Mike Perkins noted as the most active author. Analyses of keyword co-occurrence and thematic trends illustrate a strong multidisciplinary landscape, with notable growth into areas such as Psychology, Political Science, Engineering, Business, and Medicine. The findings also suggest a transition from discussions centered on specific tools to more expansive, application-focused, and interdisciplinary research. In summary, the research highlights the crucial role of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, while also underscoring the growing incorporation of Generative AI across various academic fields, offering valuable insights for future research strategies and policy development.</p>
